TSLM - Turbine Starter Limiter & Monitor
The TSLM system will assist you to operate a Walter M601 engine.
-
Starts the engine safely & efficiently
-
Activates starter, igniters & ignition-fuel valves for start and run operations
-
Activates igniters & ignition-fuel valves when pilot commands anti-flameout operation
-
Activates the EHT valve (limiter) to protect against:
-
Start ITT exceedences - hotstarts
-
Propeller overspeeds in beta-mode
-
Monitors engine parameters - ITT, N1, N2, Torque, etc.
-
Indicates and records all parameter exceedences
-
Sends parameter information on to displays, laptops, etc.
-
Records every start & run operation
-
Diagnostic test trouble-shooting capable

SGCU - Starter Generator Control Unit
The SGCU is currently undergoing beta testing with expected availability in mid September '08.
Intelligent control of 28 VDC starter-generators in both starting and generation modes.
-
Control of electrical power generation
-
Generator voltage adjustable - 26.0 to 30.0 VDC
-
Protection against:
-
Over-voltage and under-voltage
-
Reverse current and overload
-
Short-circuits on outputs
-
Open shunt field
-
Can function as a GCU (generator control unit) only
-
Optional control of gas-turbine engine start process
-
Series or shunt field start control
-
Automatic starter cutout control
-
Measures amps total generator load as well as starting current without requiring a shunt
-
Sends measured information via RS232 and CAN interfaces on to EFIS displays, laptops, etc.
-
Built with digital and solid-state technology
-
Significant size and weight savings over other GCU's
